Jim Adams has been a resident of Asbury for many years. He is a 2002 graduate of Clarke College who currently works as a Team Leader for the SAM Support Group at McKesson Corporation. Jim is the President of the AACRF and prior to his appointment to City Council, served on the park board for 9 years. Jim lives with his wife Karen and they have 6 children and three grandsons. Jim enjoys golf, softball, bowling and volunteering in the community.

Bob and his wife Shirley have lived in Asbury since May of 2000. Bob started his involvement with city government by serving two years on the assessment committee. That was followed by his serving on the City Council. With having experience and a working relationship with City Staff, Bob hopes to keep the city moving forward and is ready for continued success for the City of Asbury. In his spare time, Bob enjoys playing golf.

Craig grew up in south central Iowa before attending the University of Iowa, graduating with a business degree. There he met his wife Dione, a Dubuque native. They moved to Asbury in 1993 and have 3 teenagers. Craig was elected to the City Council in 2004 to 2008, leaving Council to spend more time with his family. Craig has been active on the Board of Adjustments and Comprehensive Planning Committee before being reappointed to Council. Craig started his own business in 2009 and has been active with the Dubuque Soccer Club and Adult Soccer League. One of Craig’s goals is to keep Asbury moving forward and continue to be a thriving community that will be a place that his children will be proud to call Home.

Karen and her husband have lived in Asbury since 1978. She has two children and five grandchildren. She retired from Medline Industries in 2014. Karen enjoys camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She is excited to be a part of the process of Asbury's continued growth.

Russ and his wife Gretchen have lived in the Sun Valley subdivision of Asbury since 1980. Russ has a degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Loras College. He retired in 2013 from McGraw-Hill Education after 36 ½ years with the company. He most recently served as the Director of Financial Operations for one of the college textbook divisions. Russ and Gretchen are originally from Manchester and have a daughter. In his spare time Russ enjoys golfing.

Curt previously served on Asbury’s City Council for eight years. During his tenure on the Council, he was especially proud of his work to see the Cloie Creek Park project from an idea to reality. Curt currently serves on the Catfish Creek Watershed Management Authority Board and has previously served as its chairman. In his spare time, he likes to ski and play golf. Curt is originally from Baltimore, Md. He moved to eastern Iowa in 1990 and decided to call Asbury home in 1999. Curt served in the Marine Corps, is currently self-employed as a contractor specializing in finish carpentry.
