Construction is underway for this year’s Asbury Roadway and Trail Rehabilitation Project. Tschiggfrie Excavating and their subcontractors have started work throughout the City of Asbury this week.
Part of this project includes the milling and paving of asphalt on Asbury Road between Radford Road and the eastern City limits of Asbury.
Starting on Monday, August 4th, Asbury Road between Radford Road and the eastern city limits of Asbury will be closed to THRU traffic. Residences and businesses located along this stretch of Asbury Road will remain accessible throughout the road closure.
The current plan is to keep this section of Asbury Road closed to THRU traffic from Monday, August 4th through Friday, August 15th. Should poor weather necessitate an extension to the planned closure, further notice will be provided.
DETOUR MAP
Existing public and private utilities will be, or have been, marked. These markings are used to identify utility conflicts and warn the Contractor to the presence of underground lines or piping. We ask that you please do not disturb the utility markings in any way. If you have questions regarding the utility markings, please contact Nate Stevenson with MSA (563) 581-5722.
Tschiggfrie Excavating and their sub-contractors plan to maintain vehicle access for residences and businesses, however there may be short instances (5-10 minutes) when construction equipment blocks vehicle access to driveways. Should equipment be in the way, please remain patient, as the contractor will move the equipment as soon as possible.
For residents living in the project corridor, and for others that might normally travel throughout the area, please use caution when traveling through the construction zone as there will be some debris, equipment and personnel working at various times of the day. Your patience is appreciated as Tschiggfrie Excavating, the City of Asbury and MSA work together for a timely completion of this project.
Project updates, when necessary, will be posted to the City’s website www.cityofasbury.com and can be emailed to you upon your request – please provide your email address to [email protected] or [email protected] . In addition, please feel free to contact Nate Stevenson with MSA or Asbury City Hall during construction if you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the project.
